Press Conference

Task
H+O communications ag was given the task of organising and carrying out the media conference for customer vitaphone ag. The aim was to attract the attention of the media at the time of the launch of the new Herz Handy® (heart mobile telephone) in Switzerland. The heart mobile telephone, which offers the world's only combination of emergency button, ECG function, GPS location and mobile telephone, was to be presented to media representatives. Publication in defined media of the lay press was the declared aim.

Implementation
The media conference took place on 3rd April, 2003 in the centrally located Hotel Widder in Zurich. The press conference was presented by Dr. Ellen Heitlinger. After a short introduction by the Managing Director of vitaphone ag, Mr. Peter Hohmann, the heart mobile telephone was demonstrated by its inventor, PD Dr. Stefan Sack, cardiologist and senior physician at the University Clinic in Essen, who also outlined the development from the initial idea up to the production of the heart mobile telephone. Dr. Artur Bernardo of Gais rehab centre, who had already taken part in an experience programme for doctors, lectured on the practical use of the heart mobile telephone. Finally, Dr. Bernardo interviewed an affected person who demonstrated movingly how, after suffering a major heart attack, he is now able to lead a normal life thanks to the heart mobile telephone.
Dr. Bernardo demonstrated in a self-experiment how easy it is to use the heart mobile phone.
Finally, journalists were offered the opportunity to measure their own ECG with the heart mobile telephone. In addition to competent medical advice they also received a faxed diagram of their heart flow (ECG) from the 24-hour MediCenter.
